i've gone through the threads about this already and need some final answers which weren't answered very well or just werent before i begin .
will i need a different tailshaft, yes. how much longer is the manual one though?
no one seems to have one at the moment! (and every wrecker i call asks how long it is!)

is the balancer on the yoke essential? where can i get one if i get a tailshaft from a wrecker?

are ford the only ones that can reprogram the ecu (i've called and they said $120 with a few day wait for an opening)? following this question who else can (vic - ideally western or northern suburbs)?
