Hi could anyone please tell me what rear springs my AUI Fairmont 5.0 live axle should have fitted from factory as it has a factory fitted tow pack, I am not sure how to find out if it is the 1200kg or 1600kg.
My reason for asking is I had my car in getting fixed (not sure if I can say where) but when I got it back the rear was as soft as a sponge and if I have 3 people in the back it bottoms out, it was never like that before.
It used to be like it was on rails the rear was as solid as a rock even with people in the back it would never bottom out or look like its monoing down the road and handle like a boat, cornering fast forget it.
So I am wondering what has been put in and what was stolen out of it cos it’s just not nice to drive any more.
Or should I just wear it as it’s a hard thing to prove and put a set of lowered King springs and Munroe gas shocks in all round.

2nd how can i tighten up the LSD as its more a single spine than not, has allways been abit sad but getting worse.
And i dont want to lock it. I did think about it but lol.
Or is 9inch the go,big bucks but.hmmm

regarding your LSD... try changing the diff oil? if that doesn't fix it it might need a rebuild.

1: what work did you have done?
2: wtf is this doing in the technical documents area and not tue suspension/drivetrain sub-forum?
