Front right wheel of my car, noticed it was making a scrapping sound, checked it out and one of the nuts/bolts has been cross thread. Throught it might of just been the nut but tried to put another one and and just stripped the threading now the nut just spins around and does not tighten. Thinking it might be a little dangerous to drive so I need to fix it ASAP. Any thoughts? What needs to be replace? Just a bolt, the disc roater?
Any help would be great. Thanks.

will need wheel bearing... they are a sealed unit with the studs in em

yup what expressions said new wheel bearing which will come with a 5 new studs !

ohh and if it is onyl 1 wheel nut it be fine as you dont attact corners hard
hell i drove for months without a stud on the back right on my au with no drama's onyl had to fix it as i got yellowed

I don't know whether you have fixed it yet.... you probably have. Anyway I had the same cross threaded nut problem on my AU2 falcon caused by the bloody ford service department. I have to snap the stud to get the wheel off. The wheel stud are just a bolt which is just knocked into the wheel hub behind the brake rotor. Its easy to do. Just take the wheel off hit the old one or ones out. Then knock the new ones in making sure the grooves in the nut that stop it spinning when you put the wheel on are lined up correctly. I found the easiest way to put them in is to tap them in a little to get them started them while the car is off get somebody to hold the brake pedal down then tighten the nut up on the stud as if you were tightening the wheel and it will pull the stud into positon. Thats it.
