I have just finished installling my BA XR6T Auto into my EF.
First the problem- I have no drive in any gear.
History.
The box is an Ebay special. The guy that sold it to me said it came from a burnt out wreck and had done 27000K's. It came without a Torque converter. I purchased an AU box for the TC and other bits.
The TC looked like a recent reco as it is freshly painted and maked 93 L/U
which I assume to mean BTR93 lock up. I installed the TC with a prefill of oil and am sure it was firmly seated and engaged at install. I purchased 12 litres of 95LE fluid but have only managed to put 5 or 6 from a dry fill.

Have I got a faulty TC, a faulty BTR or is that lack of fluid the cause?

If lack of fluid how do I get more in.

I have posted another thread requesting dimensions of the torque converter dogs.

Take one of the cooler lines off while the engine is running, if oil is flowing then the pump is being driven.

No oil flow in the cooler, that is why I am suspecting the TC is not meshing in the pump.

Well the box is out and it looks like the Torque Converter is different in a BA to AU. The dogs dont engage enough and it looks like it has chewed them down trying to. Looking at the pump from the AU and BA they are different as well.

the pump drives are different between AU AND BA

AU has two tags sticking out of neck
BA has two tags into neck

that will be your cause of no drive

i wouldnt think it was more than $100 to buy a recoed one

you might want to check you havent broken the pump gears too
as the convertor wouldnt of fitted properly and there is more than a fair chance you have crushed and broken the pump gears.

which even if you put the right convertor in now will still give you no drive at all
