i got an ef xr8 just bought it the other day. on the drive home everything was sweet car drove good. was a long drive but
then the gearbox started slipping once i got back to the area and only got worse in hours to come.
done a tranny service on it but still nothing
i dont think its changing out of second it just revs out
any help from anyone would be much appreciated.

my dads el wagon gearbox just done this.

It is in limp mode.

It can be a number of things wrong with it to cause it to go into limp.

We found that it was my dads oil pressure switch was dead so we replaced that and now its all good.

Worth checking the trans connector around the back of the engine - they often have issues (its round).
