auto tran in the ef is playing up. problems i've had incude when engaging from P to D, and R to D, D to R there seems to be a long delay before gear engages. Also when cold shifting is real hard and feels like the box is gonna drop out into the middle of the road missus had a trans service done a few months back while i was away and she said the bloke said there were metal shavings and whatnot in the pan. Just wondering do you think it needs a re-build. How much coin do you reckon i'll have to fork out for a rebuild

a rebuild will set you back bout $2000, u can get a new box and it installed for less than $1000. sounds like that box is s**t i had the same prob with my ED XR6 so i got a new box and got it put in for less that $500.

Metal shavings = a*** f**k = get a new trans, even if you rebuld that one the metal shavings will have damaged everything else.
