does anyone know any one in perth that works with a lot of ford gearboxs that knows who to rebuild my box to handle over 450rwhp?? my cars an el fairmont ghia 6 cylinder, automatic..

Ive been looking at doin this myself but to handle abit more than what u are wanting. The costs were looking from $2500 for a full rebuild but other mobs in Canberra/NSW i've spoken to the prices were all over the place from 2.5K to over 4.5K....the manual swap over id looked atb even went as high as 8 grand

oh ok kool.. did they explain to u what they were doing for $2500.. was that with high stall to suit the custom grind cam?? trans cooler?? etc... what were they rebuilding to make it with stand the power..blah blah etc.. im just guessing 450rwhp... if it can be built to handle 500rwhp at the most thats what im really after...
