I dont know what brand and model will fit, but what I can tell you, is you need to remove the transmission, and then pull the pump, valve body, drums, planetary gear sets and everything out, and you need to disassemble the drums, because the clutches are inside them, not for the faint hearted really, I'd be prepared do it, but if I was doing it, I'd be prepared to have it not work the first time because I've never done it before, pulled lots of autos apart but havent put many back together.

it varies greatly, if the oil looks ok, and it hasnt got any water in it, and it was previously working alright, it should be fine.

generally check the colour of the fluid, if its clean red its a first good sign, then remove the sump pan and check inside, if there is heaps of metal on the magnet in the pan thats a bad sign, also dark grey or black sludge in the pan is usually clutch material another bad sign,
as long as the input and output shaft has no rust on it and there is no sign of water in the fluid it should be ok,. but if the box has been sitting for more than a year or 2 without any fluid in it, there is a chance the internal seals could have dried out and gone hard, not to mention any airborn moisture that may have got inside. |

Depends what you are trying to acheive, if it's just for a stocker, I wouldnt bother putting new clutches in it, as it's a pretty big job, and you'll find other stuff you need to replace before you can put it back together and it wont be that cheap of a job. I'd still drop the pan though, and make sure it's not full of water, clean it out as best as you can, new gasket, and a new filter, then refill and maybe flush the transmission when it's in the car. I would only consider replacing clutches etc if you are going to be putting some serious horsepower through the box or you do heavy towing or something, it wont be the worlds cheapest excercise, that's fore sure.
