They're the two purple couloured ones, pretty sure one has as stripe.

Well you're meant to put a 7kohm resistor between the purple and purple/white wire, i think that sends a signal to the ecu that it's in neutral. The wires come out of the big cylindrical plug.

umm not too sure. Since i put the t5 in i've always had the resistor trick going. I tried taking out the plug with the resistors on them, and the car kinda struggled to idle properly, so i put them back on and it was fine:P Oh, you're also meant to put a 1.2k resistor between the blue/orange wire and blue/white wire for the trans temperature.

Holy crap......anymore???? that is needed to be done?????

the two resistors used are ment for..
1. is for gear position when using an auto ecu..it tricks the ecu to think its in neutral, this is to stop rev hang at idle..as without it the ecu thinks its in drive and bumps the idle up.. 2 is for trans temp. this is only for ef/el ecu with thermo fans cannected.. this resistor tells the ecu the trans temp is ok.. otherwise without the resistor the ecu thinks the trans is overheating and puts the fans on full speed constantly.. so if you have done a manual conversion and used a manual loom with a manual ecu, no resistors are needed... |

Tried to get a 7,000 ohm resistor today at d**k Smith electronics store and they said they don't come in that size,.. .... so they gave the missuses a 7,300 ohm resistor.
Will this work or is it too higher resistance??????

i used a 4.2k and a 2.8k together in line to make it 7k ohm..
the best thing to do is once you add the resistor check the voltage between pin pin 30 and pin 46 on the ecu.. the voltage should between 2.8 and 3.2v for neutral.. or between 3.8 and 4.2 v for park... anything out side this will not work.. |

Thanks for that.....would've thought the prawn at d**k would've suggested that since he was told it needed to be 7,000 ohms......

Mine's an ED too so they should be the same. The two purple wires, i'm pretty sure that they ended in their own seperate plug, not with the rest of the green and yellow wires. They come from the big circular plug and end in a smaller plug.
