Look, if u want performance and speed, get the manual. on the other hand, if yer not doing massive mods to yer car, keep the auto. sure, me and my auto will get flogged every time off the line...but crusing down the coast and gettin throo peak hour traffic....i wouldnt have it any other way

well the performance and speed factor u wont end up with a T5 or a manual for that matter....be a full on drag style auto..

why dont some of you auto drivers try upping diff gears, and getting a cam. 3.7's or 3.9's will see you off the line nicely, decent alted/rpd cam should see you doing the flogging.

Thats true, you dont necesarily need to go straight to a manual

Anybody volunteer to take me for a ride in their manual falcon? lol. I've got the auto, and I dont see it as being heaps slow off the line, if you manual people say its slow, I'd really love to experience the acceleration of a manual.

but that means higher revs on the highway =( ill be on 2000 or more rpm.

auto is good if ur lazy. prefer the nice ride then autos are good. if u like to plant ur foot, drop the clutch and go VROOM VROOM VROOM then u can settle with a manual. I have been driving auto for almost all my life.......it gets boring cause not enough foot work. Manual is fun cause u get to do a lot of repeated things between lights and keeps u concentrated imo.

Im running 3.73:1's in my auto ute and i'm revving at about 2150rpm at 100km/h. Off the line it doesnt make such a difference but towards the end of first, all throught second and third it just f**k puuuuuuullllllsss.
