hi guys
over the last 4 months or so ive had a vibration in drive coming from what appears to be the transmission while idleing and a severe vibration when in revers,pulling into tafe today i went over a speed hump and it went ballistic with vibration not tail shaft as it does it while not moving. its real bad any help would be appreciated. thanks edfalcon xr6 260,000kms 4spd |

torque converter maybe out of balance.

my car vibrates badly at idle when it drive too. dunno what causes it. but i think mine might be missfire related <shrugs>

Check your engine and gearbox mounts.

Like KRUPTD suggested I would look at the engine mounts, and the rear gearbox mount.

hey guys got the mounts checked and the mechanic said its not that commented that the fluid appeared burnt but had no idea and said id be better of going to a tranny specialist any other ideas?

change the tranny fluid. cheap so its worth a shot.

ok,how hard is it to change the filter and the whole fluid? any pointers?

Take it to a tranmission specialist and get it checked.

Yeah U have no choice but to change oil as it is black also have an filter kit fitted as the internal filter has to be changed
|
