yeh.. my first recent experiance with AWD was driving a mates brand new liberty home from port macquarie the other night. ive never felt more confidant throwing a car into a corner... best way i can describe it is that cornering in it felt like a rollercoaster when u were having a go. It was quick, but the car stayed exactly where it was meant to no matter how much throttle input it had

That's traction control for ya. I'm pretty sure the Liberty has traction control, but then the subaru site doesn't mention traction control as a feature on ANY model so I don't know.

What I do know is that many, many, many people mistake the good handling charisteristics to be AWD based when it's often the traction control kicking in.

hey i'm not here to knock AWD cars, as mentioned before i'd love a GTR, my knock was really aimed at the Coupe4 or rear drive platforms with AWD shoehorned into them, the HSV has less power and costs more and is slower around a track than a Cubbie R8, for mine a AWD GT would be the same, the car is too heavy for the chassis with the extra AWD lard, even with the B-series chassis as good as it is

definatly does not have traction control, ive driven alot of stuff with traction control before, and ive found if anything the traction control has impeeded fun not added to it. The liberty seemed to grip better and pull harder and more sure footed around the corner the harder i drove it
