before i get flamed im not about to try it myself, but has anyone given any thought to using territory running gear under a BA? it must all at least come close to bolting up, because the early AWD prototypes were BA bodies, admittidly sitting a bit higher then standard, but it must all at least be possible... It'd be a good system to have under something like an RTV ute combined with the locking rear diff and DSC as well...

As you say, Ford did with the Territory Prototypes so it would have to be possible. Don't know if the cost would make it worth it though.
Engineering Certificates + Custom parts = $$$$$

Seeing the looks on peoples faces as you pull a 4 wheel smoke show would help ease that financial pain though

yeh id expect the uprights and stuff all mount up the same.. u'd be looking at territory subframe, sump, uprights and control arms plus diff driveshafts, and front tailshaft

i'm sure ford said they couldn't get the ride hight low enough with the system used in the territory..
in an RTV ute it could be good thing though |

f**k typical ford! a few AWD GTP's would be the goer to compete with the 4wd munro as for awd into ba... lots of work as the territory runs differnt style steering up front ( i think the tie rods are at the front of wheel?? ) and also have heard that the box wont fit under the falcon body..??

well u would need alot of guard pumping, as the track is wider on accu-trak but IMO, i'd just buy a GTR Skyline, and as for the HSV Coupe4, those things are rotting in dealerships - why pay more for less performance and power?
thats just me tho

Drove the first of the CC Lancers, what a beast, used to s**t all over the XR8 she had to. A real sleeper it was. No turbo stickers or anything on it.

yeh.. my first recent experiance with AWD was driving a mates brand new liberty home from port macquarie the other night. ive never felt more confidant throwing a car into a corner... best way i can describe it is that cornering in it felt like a rollercoaster when u were having a go. It was quick, but the car stayed exactly where it was meant to no matter how much throttle input it had

ok time to rock ya boat !
i have had some mesuring done and i can shoe-horn the terratory running gear into an e-series , floor mods for box/transfer , 2 brackets to weld into rear for AU irs , and relocating the x-member mounts to suit the BA/Terratory motor , alot of work but the payoff is worth it . As this is all on paper and mostly just some there work , i have played around with the Terratory so im still learning the structual design of it
