hey boys...

tell me this... can a single spinner leave 2 nice n thick layers of rubber down?

like, i got goodyear F1s... when i try do a stand still with them, i just get 1 mark like a single spinner, but when i put 2 cheap ex taxi stockies on, both wheels spin..

now how do i find out weather or not i got lsd? theres a sticker or something under the car right?

the car is a 2000 fairlane ghia v8.. shes done 450000 kms so i think the lsd need some attention im not too sure..

any ideas?

i thoguht those models did have lsd...

you have a v8 ghia and your 18.... you bastard

instead of doing a stand still (on private roads)

try spinning around a corner...
two trails = lsd
one trail = ss or some weird a*** messed up lsd

single spinner shouldn't be able to, you can leave two lines in gravel and stuff when you spin them... so may be possible.
just jack up your back end with the car in neutral. spion one of the wheels and watch the other one. if the other wheels spins the other way it is single spinner, if it spins the same way it's lsd. i think :p.

They sure can. They apply torque to both wheels so can spin both of them in some cases.
The reason why one usually only spins is because of a lack of traction on that side, and if there is not enough torque to spin both sides.

yeh but when i got stockies it leaves 2 skid marks..

when i got f1s (bloddy good traction) its hard to rip (but smokes HEAPS more then stockies) 8/10 times only 1 tire spins..

i think it just needs a rebuild or something..

duz what soulfire was sayin work? im gonna service her tomz so ill have a look.

fingers crossed! ill seriously be p****d off if its a single spinner..

for a V8 fairlane, it'll be a LSD, but with 450,000km on it, it's well and truly shagged
