Check your shocks. Worn shocks can promote tramp. It's a bf so probably not (age) but maybe.
Tramp bars would help caltracs and a couple of other companys make them or just up the rear pressure and try harder Cheers Ben |

Mal Wood does tramp rods that are a straight bolt on.
They are expensive new though! http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index ... opic=40101 I bought a set second hand but haven't put them on yet. I'm guessing your ute is lowered?

It has new pedders sports riders fitted about 5 weeks ago and the leaf springs have been reset and lowered an inch and half, but it tramped before i lowered it . I thought it mite help

Welcome to the club Few things you can try...
- Put clamps on the front of the leafs with nolathane pads where the axle bolts on the leafs - Put a rebound leaf in - Tramp rods (there's a place in melb that sells them for $150 i think) Some things that may help without having to put tramp rods are rear sway bar and adjustable damper shocks, i will be trying this combo out along with redesigned King Spring (they are having big issues with their reversed eye leafs and axle tramp) with the rebound leaf. Also wheel size plays a role in it too, having 19's makes the problem worse, especially with new cars that come stock with 19's, they are having problems |

The CAPA kit is the clamps for the leafs that punktured mentioned AFAIK.

I have 18's at the moment but i want to get 20's .I was talking to guy to night about it and he said to try using a unsprung steel plate ,same thickness and width as the leafs and put it on top of the leaf from the axel forward he said this will stop the leaf spring from "s"ing .Do you think this is a good idea or a bit dodgy.

Same sort of thing as a rebound leaf, it's pretty much a leaf that bows up and is bolted down on top of the original leafs to stop it.
The leaf clamps work but they don't stop the problem, majority of the time you wont have a problem but there are times (mainly in the wet) when it just appears and annoys the f**k outta ya. I haven't tested them on the strip to see how much of an improvement they were, before i had massive tramp in 1st and 2nd off the line |

its the pedders, you just need to power through it.
If you want to spin the wheels you need to jam the peddle to the floor not just to where they start to spin, my old au xr8 ute used to be the same way

I only get it in mine in the wet, or if I'm full power and the rear end breaks traction because of a harsh bump in the road.

Have a look at the link I posted for the Mal Wood ones, there is pics there of his.
They use an RTV diff bracket, and a custom bracket that bolts to the forward leaf mount, and the tramp rod sits above the diff. Bloke I bought them off reckons they worked really well in his Manual 340rwkw F6 Tornado before he wrote it off, he mentioned his tramped really bad in the wet before the rods as well. From memory, without going through that thread again, they are 950, I don't know if that is installed. having a look at them, if you've got some contacts/are handy with the tools, you'd be able to make something up pretty similar for no drama, and I think alot less then 950. Only iffy thing is the RTV diff bracket they use, I think the part number has been ground off it, maybe a ford parts guy could help you track them down? If you want decent pics of them off the car, let me know and I'll grab some tomorrow for you.

I racked these pics from that link and rehosted them for you.
I can get some of mine off the car tomorrow as well, if you'd like. Mal Wood says pricing "around" 950, so maybe worth a phonecall if you are interested. http://www.malwoodauto.com.au/
