I've got an s3 au xr6 and im looking to swap out the auto box for a manual. Can I use the box from a b series and if so, what extra work is needed to make it work? Or am i safer sticking with the T5?

pretty sure you can use the manual B series box- although it will be longer so your shifter position will be further back.

Thanks much for that. Is that the only abnormal factor involved? Vehicle modification is a new arena to me so I'm still fairly green.

Cheers. I've been thinking about the conversion for a while, just haven't been sure if it would be worth it to go a B series box or not. Now I can have a chat to some of the workshops around town and see about the damage to my wallet for the conversion.
