just use an e series one twason. the box itself appears to be the same casing. its actually there and just not drilled out.
but if you can do it right take it off etc it should go good :)

Not in yet, I am picking up some bits at easter, the BA box linkage is cable and I need to adapt that bit plus the position switch is a different plug.

Easy, the box I got has only 25,000Ks on it no E series would be that low, second its a Turbo box so maybe a bit stronger and lastly its got lower ratios on first and second.

i like the idea of lower ratios....never knew that

is that only for the turbo or are there other ba's also

the BA ute's wheelbase would be longer than the EF's wouldn't it, wouldn't that affect the driveshaft length issue?

It is going in today. I have installed a AU extension housing and speedo gear and added the selector arm onto the correct side of the box. The length is identical to any E or A series.
