Does anyone else have bump steer issues?

My car is a BF XR6T with low kings and super pro bushes. The tie rod angle look a bit steep, considering it's not that low.

I was thinking, if there's an easy way of lower the rod end ball joint, it might help?

Any thoughts or fixes?

how low is it?

camber/caster kit + wheel alignment will fix it, also cheap tyres or tyres that have worn from bad alignment will also cause tram tracking and bump steer..

IMO it's not that low. Springs are just normal low kings so maybe 20mm lower than stock.

It has fairly fresh Good year eagle F1's so not cheap tyres. They were an improvement over the worn out neogens I had before.

I have done a home job on the alignment using a measuring tape and it seems to drive well, probably not a prefect job though.

The car originally had heaps of caster added when I bought it. Enough to make the steering a little heavy and was aggressive on cambered roads. I reduced the caster which made it nicer to drive and did seem to reduce the harshness of some bumps.

It suffered from bump steer before and after all changes.

a tape measure alignment is far from being perfect, good enough to get you to get a wheel alignment maybe...

imo, take it and get a proper alignment and see how far it is actually out, you will be supprised!
as there is no need to modify tie rod location on a slightly lowered car...

A proper alignment can't hurt. I'm a little skeptical since it's always had this issue, even after proper alignments in the past.

if a wheel alignment don't fix it then I would be looking for warn bushes or bent suspension parts, as au, ba and bf don't normally suffer bump steer

The other thing is the Caster's are usually staggered....the left is further forward than the right....this helps with keeping the car straight on a normally cambered road.
