OK OK SO A mildly stupid question (Not mentioning any names of BA parts fitting EF :D )

BUT......

Ok need new brake pads in the rear of my old EF.

EF pad part number for the rear is DB1086 size (114x55x14mm) i dont have any of these in my stock and really dont want to buy any because cars likely coming off the road in a month

I do have some Ba/BF/AU rear pads in my spares collection never used. i also have a set of Used, but good pads off old parts car.

BA brake pads are DB1376 size (114x55x15)

Givin the physical size of 114x55 is the same between both any reason i cant Use the BA ones? even if i had to shave 1MM off the pad? use some god used spares?

Thanks guys

If the BA pads physically fit in there, they should be OK I would think, someone else will be along shortly with another answer, if they are too thick though, there might be issues caused by that.

Excuse external link but check towards end of thread. Dude reckons 1086 and 1376 use same backing plate. As far as thickness goes, I got not idea

Thats what i thought, but that 1 mm (2 over all) could make a huge difference if they felt "tight" fitting them guess could take some of the pad material off each pad to improve the fit.

Ended up using some 2nd hand ones i had laying around that appeared to have plenty of meat left.

Thanks Josh1990, external link excused :)

Yeah can confirm exactly the same backing plate, I have a Bendix brake book next to me has every brake pad under the sun im guessing.
was just after opinions on weather anyone else would use them.

comparing the dimensions listed they are the same except thickness even matched the BF pad to the EF pad actual size diagram.
