Gday guys.

I 've been trying to hunt down 4.11 or 3.9 diff gears for the ba for quite some time now. I rang a diff joint here I'm brisbane and they say that there is no direct replacement crown and pinion for the ba, but they could modify to suit etc.

If anyone knows a place that in SE QLD that has fine the job before, give me a buzz.

Also, how much would a new ba xr6 lsd cost?

Check my thread mate about the diff, the 4.11 can come from the territory but there is a lot of stuffin around to make it work. There are joints which can convert your current diff to 4.11 using aftermarket parts. I think there is joint called hart transmissions in brendale that can do it pretty cheap

Yeah, I had a chat with ftg this morning and they say that the M78 diff didn't have capability to go 4.11, but the M86 did. But to run the M86 I'd have to swap tailshaft and driveshaft.

Yeah, I was quoted $1600 for this joint to modify a 75 series crown and pinion so it will fit in the 78.

$1600 for 4.11 gears, new bearings, all labor, drive in - drive out. Didn't get a price for out of vehicle, as this LSD that I'm picking up Monday is what the gears are going into. I have a mate back home who's pulled a couple diff's out of BA's and BF's and he said he will do it for a case and some bud lol

Oh nice, what's it like with the LSD?

And I'm hopefully picking up the diff center tomorrow. Might just go with 3.73 rather than 4.11 for the time being, as the cost to modify 75 series gears is too much at the moment.
