hay guys got a ba fairmont ghia i have herd that the tail shaft is not designed to work at high rpms and i want to run it at high rpsm :D so i was wondering could i change the tail shaft with one form a xr6 if not i need cheep option that requires as minimal work as possible

dude all ba falcon auto tailshafts are the same if its a fairmont and its auto you wont be pulling huge rpms anyway if its not vibrating and the centre bearing is ok dont touch it...ba's are supposed to have the tailshaft balanced in car at ford...very expensive believe me ive been thru this drama converting my daughters ba from auto to manual if it aint broke dont fix it or youll be up for big bucks...
