g'day everyone i just wana ask around does a BA i6 5 SPEED gearbox fit onto a EL i6 koz some one on ebay reckons its a straight fit ??? and i just wana confirm it !! let us know wat would be needed

i'd of thought it'd be different with the different engines, also they are much rarer so more expensive.

No. Looked into this in depth for my car.

Bellhousing is different and contains the input shaft bearing race so you cant change it. Also mainshaft is longer in the Ba and so is rear extension housing, linkages etc.
in short they are not compatable although you can use th guts of a BA box (except mainshaft) in an older T5 for a slight improvement in shift quality and durability.
