if it hasn't been in for the recall, Ford should fix it for free. They did with a mates BA a few years back.

Yeah mate, when i was picking up some parts from Papa Smurf he asked me about my rear brake lines and if they had been replaced under the recall, i wasnt sure and he said to just wander across the road to the service department and ask them, so i did and they looked up my VIN and said it had been and that Power Ford replaced it (which was where i was getting it services at the time) no questions about whether I had owned the car from day one or anything. They also looked up any other recalls to check none had been missed and to my suprise hadnt been :-)

LOL $95 is such a rip!! I am pretty sure it was only the rear brake lines that had the recall because they were to short. None the less best to be safe and replace the fronts as well

have you tried to adjust a handbrake on a BA/BF? if the shoes are a little worn or the inside of the discs they either don't work or they drag and make a squeaking noise.

also if the recall hasn't been done the rear brake hose will have 2 coloured rings. if it has been done. it'll have 3
