Hello all,
I phoned up a Local Diff shop today and they told me i should be able to upgrade my BA falcons diff to a 3.73. Its a 2003 BA falcon XT can i just confirm with some of you guys that this is right? and can anyone point me in the right direction in which one to get? (maybe a model) I have been told BTR (borgwarner) are good? Ive been looking at: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160754640264?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Also are there any guides out there to change the gears your self? I would like to give it a crack myself if anyone can give me some advice If there isn't a guide I will make one but i still need advice from some of you genius's Thanks guys!

Mate, definitely go with a diff specialist. Last thing you want, is doing an at home job and having the a** end of the car explode on you. Yes, the N/A diffs (the M78) will only go as low as 3.73:1. You can go lower, using the AU series diff gears, but they need to be shimmed. I RECOMMEND going LSD, as 3.73:1 will have you losing traction every time you even think of pressing to go pedal.
I was quoted $1800 to upgrade to 4.11 into a LSD cradle I have from a BA XR6, have it rebuilt and installed. Not a bad price for drive in and drive out.
