Have you through about trying to "hack" an EA-II, or V-8 Trans ECU (seing as they were seperate..).

I know someone did it once, and did offer a sequential shifter option on falcons but that went away after a while. Was if moffat?

Hell if one can dissasemble an EEC-IV, or V, then the trans ECU shouldnt be so hard.

Essentialy we are over riding the trans ECU to achieve whats needed, I do not feel that dismantling the trans ECU is a good idea, like all mods, they should be removable if they are no longer wanted, needed, or not performing as expected.

the 'hold' gear function if it is a simple over ride/disconnect of the VSS wire will only be avaliable on cars with seperate trans computers, with integrated ECU's it will not be possible, so apart from missing that function on integrated ECU's the rest will work, of course there is nothing to stop the fitting of a seperate trans ecu then adding the mod of course.

I can see the benefits of having a sequential shift trans. but a 5 speed man. is going to be a quicker car than the auto in straight lines and twisty bits due to the extra cog helping to keep the engine in its powerband (provided your a slick shifter). This is why I'm keen to convert to 5 speed. Nonetheless, Kudos to you Dellboy999 for this inovative mod 8-).

I can now hold the gears and stay in power band as easy as a manual, and shift quicker/or as quick as you, still cant drop the clutch though

Yeah the shifter module is evolving to allow for things likes this slowly but surely it is progressing.

Hey buddy,

I know this is in the tech doco as I've read it but I'd rather just ask straight out and get an answer...

All I need to do this is...
- The BA shifter mechanism
- BA shifter cable
- The electronics from MUZZA
- A spare weekend :D
