The BA shifter installed, yes thats cardboard around it at the moment, till i designand make a better console.

Close up of Gear shift display (this will have a bigger LED and be integrated to the dash board, between the tacho and digital speedo display.

Bracket and cable routing.

Better pic of the TEMP bracket (working on a stronger, better looking one piece design)

Connection at gearbox end, it uses standard backet, with cable adapted to it.

Well thats all for now, till I pull more car apart and take more pics, and tidy up, finalise brackets, mounting, electronics etc.

fuzion do you reliase it is a BA Sequential shifter that has been installed and works the same as what is in a BA, you do know what that is right ? , or am I assuming too much here, cause how the hell would an ef/el interior give me the same effect.

What do you mean money, so far it has cost ME nothing except my time.

Looking nice, but if its cost you nothing, whered you get the shifter from

Youre gonna have to tidy up that bracket a bit, but as long as it works, it looks good. I'd love to have something like this, and am sure I would be able to get the physical side of it done, but not the electronics. The only other thing I am not a great fan of, is the LED display. It looks nice and is handy, but i wish they made something that looked a little smoother. Top job but mate

The shifter is a - not what you know but who you know deal 8-)

OK, all the electronics is currently proto-typed, it will be a lot neater smaller and proffesional when all is finished, unfortunately an alphanumeric single display is not easy to get in samll numbers, hence it has to be LED, but it will mounted into the dash.

I am sharing the progress with people, alot has to be done yes, it is not finished, when I post up all done and finished, along with prices for components then tell me its crap :D

Are you using a BA auto transmission as well as the shifter, if so what are you doing about the electronics for the box?

As far as I know the snce the EBII the computer is used to control both engine & transmission & it is now called a drivetrain computer.

mate a BA does about the same amount as what a chinese driver in china town to me, a whole lot of nothing but funny noises..

hence i mentioned a real interior not a plastic interior..

JOSE - this fordMODS I though meant modding Fords, so why be against it - I could have used Holden parts

Neo_nick & Happy- Yes progress and final installed pics will be posted, although progress may be a little slow between now and new year.

mitch_anderson - the run with it was great, I have fun playing with it in traffic too, hold it in first cruise off the line, then blast past a few cars, and click to 2nd is fun.

daro - I am using the an ea 30th anniversary 4 speed auto (the BA 4 speed would basically bolt up with a few changes, after initial enquiries), I have a seperate trans computer, integtrated or seperate makes no difference however, I am told with a late EL/AU series gerabox wiring loom control of a BA gearbox is possible with my trans computer.

fuzion - my car is already plastic, so ya lost me (eavh to their own)

Andrew J - Shifter is brand new (well was when I got it :D ) [/b]

Good for you mate, well done.
I'd say you have a very marketable little item here. You know, I got a manual conversion at the same time I gave up smoking (rollies) thinking now I'm not rolling on the move what use do I have for an auto any longer. Now that I'm back on the smokes, and since seeing your little project all I can say is well, damn.
