to answer all your questions in one hit, NO. look at a Lokka before a spool, spools are downright dangerous for street use, speaking from experience

i reckon your age and driving style had more to do with your accident than the spool! i don't know you but going by some of the comments from people who do when you put the spool in, its an educated guess.

i've got an eb v8 making pretty reasonable power for what it is. also has 3.9 diff gears and when i bought it it had a minispool. i'd never had any experience with spools before but i never had an issue with it. had it in there for about 8 mnths before converting to l.s.d. due to it being a daily driver.

i found it to be very predictable.

the bit thats not predictable is the bit that holds onto the steering wheel.

having said that, spools are illegal.

yes a spool is predictable (will kick the a*** out anytime you boot it midcorner) but they chew through tyres like no tomorrow (1500k's, no skids, rears were f**k) and yea, my driving style may have contributed, but not in the situation i was in...

Spools are illegal for a reason! go a lokker, they are legal and are not a cheap C*** method like a spool is..

i would not stick a mini spool in a daily driver, reason is it will put to much stress on your rear end as there is no give in it. if you notice a car with a mini spool they wobble around corners when driveing slow, that will make bushs and rubbers split and wear out faster.

in the end just get a good LSD
