Hi Guys,

Just need some thoughts and opinons, I now own a BA XR8 Ute (2nd owner) and when driving straight, the steering wheel is off centre (about 5-10 degrees off, not alot really) i did mention to the Dealer that i wanted it fixed before i took delivery, but being the lazy a** they are they didnt do it. I took the car back a week later to, for them to tell me that previous owner had hit a gutter which has caused the diff to move off centre. To the naked eye it looks fine i have looked at both sides, and also measured to find that they are the same measurements either side. They tell me these New XR's Ute's have a weak rear suspension setup, which i thought was a load of crap  . Now they want to take it off me for a week, to get it fixed  . Any info would be great.

Cheers,
Jason

If your steering wheel is off centre, it can just be down to a wheel aligment! If a wheel aligment is done with the steering wheel crooked then thats how it will be when you are driving straight. Cost only $40-50 and you get it fixed properly, away from ford dealerships.

Id take it in to ford and see what happens when they realise the suspension is fine. And if it isnt, watch it magically get fixed... for free :D Especially if they sold you faulty goods without you knowing about it. And if they find nothing wrong, tell them to do the wheel alignment, again for free as you specifically asked for it before you bought it.
