Just wondering how strong these are. There is a lot of very quick BA out there, and none of them seem to have diff problems..
Reason behind the question is, I've got one and was going to get it modified to fit in my EF.
Anyone know a good place in Vic that do this sort of stuff..

Cheers
Tim

their pretty strong, but still heard a few stories of them breaking with a decent amount of torque thru them.. think its more the IRS is the weakness

save your money and get a ef/el diff
ba lsd has 2 pinion lsd centre
ef?el has four 4 pinion lsd much stronger

you can also fit 4 pinion centre to ba housing if you wanted

Are you sure?? How could a 2 pinion handle all the power the xr6t or GT are putting out??

I know they have 31 spline axles, as apposed to the EF/EL ones that have 28 spline....

So is the XR8 diff different from the GT.....

ummm was there a GT ute....

I think i just answered my own question...

feel stupid again.. :(
.............................................

So an XR8 ute diff is the same as an BA XT ute diff.... that’s interesting.. are they the Dana M86? or is that the IRS diff?
