hi everyone,

just wondering if anyone knows what the gear lever knob thread size is on a ba 5 speed manual

believe it is the same as the e series with a standard size of m10

M10 , but you can fit the knob on a M12 e,g if you bought a short shifter just force it on or drill out

better off drilling the h out to 10.5 and taping the 12mm thread

ok, thanks for the replies, does anyone know the pitch

basically ive bought a short shifter from the states and it 12x1.75 and i was hoping the xr knob may fit it as im fitting a ba gear boot to the car (xg ute) and sort of wanted everything to like factory modified if that makes sense

Drill size for metric is ... Thread size minus pitch = drill dia. ie M12x1.75 = 10.25mm drill.

it's acturly a 10.20 drill, how ever 10.5 will work fine
