hey guys, my step mum has a ba xr6 sed with ssl king springs all around. she wants to put the standerd springs back in front and back and replace the shocks in the back to tow a caravan. iv done all this work on my ef but cant really see how it's done on the ba....can any one give me some advice?

Front
Pretty much the same as an E series or an AU Rear 1. Take the wheel off 2. Loosen off rear shock, top fixing 3. Allow rear control arm to drop to lowest point (lever down a bit if required) 4. Take out existing spring and fit in new one (ensure top/bottom is correct) 5.Install the new springs neatly in the saddles, ensure that top/bottom of spring is correct. 6.Re-fix top of shock. 7.Refit wheel. 8.Finish with a professional rear wheel alignment and camber adjustment to tidy up. (Adjustments are available on the XR6/8, not the XT) |
