On the ED are the back brakes hard to change, have done the front but now the back need to be changed, is there anything I need to know before I start or is it straight forward...thanks anyone...new member...

the back is fairly easy but, the rear caliper piston dont push in like the front calipers, they wind in, the easiest way is to buy the correct tool from bursons,repco ect..
or you could make your own? there is another method that i have used which involves removing the handbrake arm from the caliper and put a large socket over the shaft (so the shaft can rotate without touching the socket), then use a g clamp as per front calipers and do it up this will push the piston in and allow the handbrake shaft to rotate .. once the piston is all the way in, fit the pads , fit the caliper then using a shifter rotate the handbrake shaft so it winds the pads against the disc, then rotate it back enough so the handbrake arm can fit back on.. |

Rear pads would be easy as they are disc as well. I dont think you need to touch the handbrake shoes to do the pads, but I have never done them on a falcon. I was going to do the rear pads on my Ef and it seemed a straight forward pad replacement but the ones on the car were almost new so I didnt worry about it.
