Okay If you have purchased a set of splined Ball joints, grind the splines off.

Take the stub axle section turn it upside down, and use a 1+ kilo mash hammer and 6 mm steel plate, leave the nut on the ball joint and place it on a hard metal surface, with the axle upside down and plate across the ball joint hit it hard, you can use some RP 7 or WD 40 to lube the balljoint and some 600 grit to remove any rust on the inside area where the ball joint seats.

once you have the ball joint is flush hammer the side to bring it all the way through.

It worked for me.

Good luck

i couldn't press the ones out of my ef, i made a tool to use, but they were so bloody tight, so i sent em off to fulcrum, and they did em for me.

Change over stubs?? The car is still new to me and I havn't been under it much yet. Can't picture what would be involved.

Who would have and what $'s are we talking about?

well you have to take everything off it anyway, so changeover stubs would probably be the way to go

take off caliper and disc break away tie rod end and upper and lower ball joint then take to the likes off repco around $17o from memory ive never actully bought or sold one as i said we fit them but upper ball joints never wear but if you can remove and fit the stub it wont cost you labour so cost will weigh it self out
