I'll be over in Perth for a couple weeks soon, and have offered to do some mechanical tidy up on my son-in-law's EF 'mont while I'm there (he's mechanically challenged). The brake rotors are badly warped. He has been told they need replacing, so apparently skimming them is not an option.

It will be used as a "second car" for a little while, then sold, so we are trying to put only as much money into it as we need to. It's his money I'm spending, so I have to be careful - no slotted and cross-drilled :( Where can I buy basic rotors and pads at a good price in Perth - preferably the south-eastern suburbs? And what should I expect to pay?

Thanks for your help.

i would measure the discs before you go replacing them, alot of brake shops will tell you they need replacing when a machine and new pads will do.

maybe contact one of the perth guys here, they might be wrecking or know of an ef el with good front brakes.
