What are your guys/girls opinions on shortened shocks for a lowered falcon, what brand/model do you find best.
Dont go saying bilstein or koni or whatever, i dont have that much money (though if you have price post it up i could be swayed towards them)
As ive still got the stock shockies in, and i'm soon going ultra low in the rear and want to do the shocks and bushes at the same time, so what shocks do you people recommend/like?

I think KYB are underated in the aussie car scene. I had them on my Mitsi with King LOW's and it was very cool, really loved it.

I dumped my new EA straight away with BOGE shortened shocks and King Super Low. The BOGE shocks were awesome, they're not on the bump stops as they can actually travel. It's not soft, but it is definetly not bumpy, and there's fk all body roll.

Got them threw GSA wholesale in QLD. I'd highly recommend these shocks and this supplier.

I got Ultimas from Ebay, come with bump stops and all, been in for about 3 months and no complaints with superlows

just wondering if you dont mind if i could get a ballpark figure for the BOGE shocks through GSA (as I will probably get any suspension gear from there and have only heard good things). 8-)

cheers nick

I've got a full Pedder's Superlow setup up front and Superlow King Springs with Koni shocks in the rear. I did the whole setup for $250. I'm a bit of a bargain hunter you might say. Everything I picked up off eBay like new.

If you can't be bothered looking around for a really good set of second hand ones then just go Pedders. I'm very happy with my front setup; Pedders superlow springs and pedders shortened Sports Ryder Shocks.

In the end the question is... How do you drive your car? If you drive like a Mark Skaife tosser 24/7 then it's probably a good idea to invest in some Blisteins' or Konis'. But if you just want a cheap set of shocks that aren't going to easily wear out and ride like a b**ch with UltraLows, then Pedders will do. I've also heard good reports about KYB's but I haven't had anything to do with them so I can't comment.

KYBs get a big thumbs up for budget shocks with lowered springs.
As do BOGE as locknut said.

Pedders are good, but are a bit more expensive.

If you are going ultras in the rear, and your cars manual, and you intend on making a bit of power anytime in the future, put in an EL diff bumpstop, available from Ford.

Hey mate, as I remember the fronts were about $230ish/pr and the rears approx $124+/pr?

Hope that helps, they might be a little more, I had lot going on at the time.

So far m leaning towards the pedders sports ryder's, mate has them in his eb xr6, rides really well, handles really well too. But keep the ideas comming guys really making me think, see what setup i can find, the car will occasionally be at track days at winton, just for a bit of a fang, nothing serious.
