just curious if the bf xr's actually sit lower than falcons/fairmonts or is it just in the bodykit ?
is the suspension stiffer ? apart from the wheels i wanted to know what was actually different, as the most other mechanicals are mostly the same (ie engine n box)

suspension is slightly lower, however BF falcons were availible with the "euro sports pack" which consisted of 17" alloys, XR-spec suspension and ZF 6 speed auto. Also BFII Fairmont Ghias had sports luxury suspension which sat at about the same height as XR's

yer as far as i know, the bodykit, rims, diff ratio, trim details and cluster are all i can figure out..
have read on one site that they sit 20 mm lower but i've also read on another site that the roof height is the same just ground clearance is 15mm lower, which means it's in the bodykit, which is fairly obvious. lucky enough to catch by chance, a bfII mont ghia next to a ba xr6 and the rim - guard clearance looked pretty much the same as did the roof height. but thta was a ghia.... i'm unfamial with the xr stragegies post a series....

The police car xr6T,s are lower again. My mate has a BFII turbo ex cop and it sits lower than my BA turbo and makes it look mean.

They seem to sit low on their 17 inch alloys but the ride is slightly softer than XR, in keeping with the (now gone) Fairmont Ghia brand. |
