Incorrect!
6 speed was an option on a bf xr6

I have two family members with them with 4 speeds

It was the 6 speed manual that came on XR6T's and XR8's as well as FPV models in the BA MK2 not the ZF 6 Spd Auto.

That got introduced as standard on certain BF models such as Ghia, XR6T, XR8 (if auto chosen) and optional on N/A XR6 as part of the premium pack.

Would that be the $39,999 pack with 18's, climate and premo audio when Ford were running out old stock of the BF2's?

In which case it was a set pack and the 6 speed was standard in the pack. Otherwise its a 4 speed.
