those kits are currently $1600 but are not e series offset, they are either +20 or +35 offset..

So obviously you'd want a detailed quote if buying from them.

Meh not interested in upc crap.

All I'm interested in is the biggest e series offset brakes for around 3k.

I'm going to look into this ksport company

They can do a front 356 mm rotor 8 piston caliper for $2800 to $3000.

Do you have a spring clip or amything to take up the slap in the caliper? Also I notice they are not floating rotors, Do you have the part number from DBA? I thought they had warping trouble with that style rotor and thats why the saloon guys use a floationg mustang rotor.

No I don't have a spring clip, I didn't even think about it. It makes sense too because I have a small (hardly noticeable) knock when I apply brakes.

I've got just standard ELGT dba rotors (dba136s-i think)which aren't in production anymore. There is a guy on boosted looking into brake rotors from the states that will fit, so waiting to here from him.

The only other option at this stage I know of are PROTEX discs but they don't come with slots or any cooling.

Saloon cars are alot harder on brakes then I will ever be, so not worried too much about warping at this stage.

That would be me looking for Rotors from the US. I have a Cebco kit with Mustang rotors - DBA 069.

You can buy the clips from race brakes melb (I did last week) or ebay selling EL GT pads come with them.

After speaking with RBM about a few things he had indicated that i have set my brakes up wrong. I have set them up the same as eed-250 when actually there on the wrong side.

I have taken a pic from the first page of this thread and the pic on this page.

This is how I have done it and I have been told its wrong. The load is on the pin and can fail!
This is wrong
Image

This is right! The pin is on the bottom and there is no load on it.
Image

He also said it will stop the rattles and clunks. (hip hip horay)

Also apparently DBA are not making the "DBA069" anymore. Justin for Tuff Car Parts told me. If this is true (I don't doubt him) then freakin spewin. I do hope he is wrong for all our sakes.

Drew, DBA dont do the 069 any more. I have the last pair that were available through Bursons AUS wide. I'm investigating shipping options to get Baer and EBC rotors over here.
