hey all im new to this forum so in not sure if this has been asked or not i had a browse around and couldnt find much. sorry if it has!
any way i have a 2003 ba xr8 custom one tonna with 20 inch wheels and the brakes need replacing. ill be replacing all 4 corners (well the missus old man will be for me!) haha but im wonderind what size discs i shoud go to. there standard at the moment and they look like 20 cent coins because the rims are so big! im not looking for the performance of brembo or anything like that (No way am i paying 3g+!) i just want discs that will take up a fair bit of room in the rim and look good but im not a machanic or anything so just after some opinions on what size will close the gap a little and look good! also will i need diffrent calipers etc etc? any advice would be much appriciated! heres a pic also http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t71/ ... The best option without going Brembo is to find a set of BA Premium Brake Option front calipers. Standard diameter: 298mm Premium Brake diameter: 325mm Standard thickness: 28mm Premium Brake thickness: 32mm (ie a bit thick means that they can handle heat better and won't warp as easily) |
