I have ABS so I guess brake bias is less significant... very interested in this mod.
Just got a set of these: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWNX:IT for the front, but if the back can be improved in a bolt on fashion, I'd love to get some more details and a photo or two. rgds Frank |

Sweet....
some questions if I may.. 1. What exactly model/year are the calipers and pads from? 2. Are the disks just bog normal BA sedan disks? I've not spent much time on rear brakes so not all that familiar with them other than changing pads. 3. What is the difference in size of the rear rotors on a BA and an EL ? 4. Is there any problems with the handbrake arrangement? 5. What is your offset now? Sorry to be a pain.. but this idea intrigues me... cheers Frank |

Hi Frankien and other members
there is some usefull information BA rear rotor DBA505 EL rear rotor DBA133 Rear disc diameter height 303 mm v 299 mm Thickness 16 mm (new) v 10.5 mm Thickness min 14.5 (wear out) v 8.5 mm Centre hole 70.5 mm v 70.5 mm Bolts holes 5 Original height 51 mm v 56.5 mm Using same EL Banksia park brake shoes however left approx 3 mm offset and doesn’t affect my parking brake on the hill and will looking for other ideas trying move Banksia park brake housing inside by add other 5 mm spacer on the rear bearing housing or trying to find correct Banksia shoes to suit this modification so give me time to work out however be on this wagon for nearly two years without any dramas Callipers has larger housing & piston bore I think 4x 0r 4x mm against EL 38 mm bore, housing but still bolt using same bolts and holes and brake hose |
