My original gear stick in my 97 EL Fairmont Ghia T5 gear box is going all floppy and making it hard to change gears especially into third..
I've heard good and bad things about billet shifters and only good things about RIP shifters

Is it worth spending the extra money to put a rip shifter in over a billet one???

Cheers Guys

Plenty of people use Billet Products. I believe Herrod shifters are, or were, BP shifters.

Another option is you can spend somewhere in the middle and get something easily as good, if not better, than the Rip Shifter. http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang_shifter.shtml
These shifters are getting great reviews, in the states, versus the old tried and true 'Pro 5.0' shifter.
