Hey guys,

Ive come down to boge lowered or Pedders GSR shocks for my EL falcon sedan. Ive heared all positive comments about boge and if anything just the rear was a little soft but Pedders GSR i had some mixed reports.

I think that Pedders GSR may be a little hard but not 100% as some ppl have said there abit ruff at times but some say there ver comfy. Ive also been offered a combination of GSR front and comfy rear as there isent much weight in the back as comfy is about 15-20% stiffer and GSR is 30-40% stiffer than factory.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Yeh im not looking for a system that compremisses comfy over handling as its my daily and i just cruz it.

If i go Boge ill save myself just over $100.00 and can throw that towards some sway bars if i want better handling.

Hey,
Im going the pedders set up next month, they were the most helpful and know their s**t. always had there gear, never a problem, going springs and shockers, because it sits and rides like a 4x4. LoL :)

Cheers

What dont u like about there springs?

With your GSR setup was it bumpy at all or always a comfy ride?

Unfortunately reports from owners sometimes ought to be mixed with a handful of salt, unless you find out a number of details about their car. Like how stiff and high their coils are, swaybars, tyre and rim size and pressure, etc.

For example, i wondered if my front GT gas monroes transmitted bumps way too much, so i lowered the front tyre pressures from 35psi to around 33psi, and it made a big improvement.

didnt like the way the car sat with pedders springs, unfourtunatly for them they told me that was as good as i was going to get the car to sit with their springs (the front was too low and the back was to high) mind you i had purchased all the gear in one hit from the same store so they knew what suspension i had.

as for the shocks, they are quite stiff and give excellent cornering ability (even after 3 years of use) but they are a little bumpy, mind you im running king lows at the front to match the 30mm lowered spring seat of the gsr strut and superlows at the rear with the gsr shocks. the ride is quite nice for a lowered car there are no massive bumps transmitted through the suspension that give you the s**t. in a nutshell handling is drastically improved over stock and in my opinion it is still a very comfy ride

been in a ef mont with kings low and pedders shocks all installed and leveled.

i was in the back for over an hour and even tho the ride was a little firmer than you'd probably appeciate, i didnt mind it

proly find the best way to do it is to try and find people near by you with each and take their cars for a spin back to back.

its hard to compare things via comments.

you're in sydney, i'm sure you'll find two people on here who are willing to let you drive their cars for a test

I run the pedders shortend shocks and touring springs on my au and eb.
the touring springs take them to a good ride height (not to high, not to low), and dont have the harshness of the sports rider or kings but still handle great

Is "gsr" short for 'gasryder'? Gabriel?

I had a secondhand pair of these on the back of my EB and they transmitted the bumps badly, then one p****d out oil. It may be they have a lot of rebound damping and thus work better with h/d coils, mine are std. I put the original monroes back in and the ride is totally transformed.

Yeh its hard making a decision after so many different oppinions but seems that Boge is the way to go and cheaper too.

They claim ultimate comfort and safety and thats what im looking for especially in my daily driver. im sure the handling will be way better than my 227xxx kms shocks LOL
