if its not leaking from anywhere, it has to be the master cyl.. or possably something has failed in the abs junction? |

What I meant was if you had changed anything that caused you to have to bleed i.e lines/master/pads.
While the brake fluid was still black, was the pedal response ok? Power of elimination is what I am getting at. If all you have done is change the fluid to make the pedal respond like this then thats the trigger that has caused the problem. Therefore what related to changing the fluid could cause the problem, see were I am getting at? whats the vacuume like at the brake booster just out of curiosity? |

yeah pedal has always been a bit crap . changing the fluid has just made it worse . im lost . all i can think off is the abs unit . but ive never heard of them breaking , or people even bleeding them .

I recently took an El Fairmont ghia with a tickford 6 for a test drive and it had the same problem, double pump the pedal and she would brake. I did see on that car the ABS warning light was on, so maybe it is the ABS and your lights just out or the abs is on its way? Are you able to change it over with a working one for a cheap price? if so its worth a shot |
