HI all, Ive just changed the front brake pads on my EF Fairmont wagon, the right side all is ok, but the smaller caliper guide bolt on the left hand side will not do up tight it just spins around? & will not undo.

Have i stripped the thread on the bolt or on the stub axle thread? :?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, Jason.

fold back the rubber grommet and hold the nut with a 17mm spanner.

the boot shouldn't be covering the 17mm nut, but yeha 14mm and 17mm open ended spanner will get them off.

just try not to reef on it too hard or you might end up punching the wheel arch or even worse another bolt.

god ive lost count off how many knuckles ive skinned trying to undo stubborn bolts/nuts
