been getting a kind of grinding noise from front left brake so been looking at it, pads still have plenty on them but noticed that when i install the caliper without the brake pads theres a bit of movement on the bottom lug, compared to the other front caliper theres no movement, so which would it be, is the caliper lug worn out or is it the guide sleeve. any info apreciated, thanks.

Make sure the caliper slides are not siezed/stuck.
When was the last time you changed the brake fluid???
Do the rotors have large lips on them??? so the disc pad rubs on them on the outer of the rotors???

if you mean the the slide plates, they seem ok. ive bled that brake a few times and the rotor maybe questionable ie. there maybe some run out and it is on the limit, between 22mm - 23mm but didnt notice much of a lip on it.
