Sounds like warped disc rotors. Can happen when they wear too thin and get too hot. Will need to be machined if there is still enough meat on them. He should get his brakes checked :P

depends dude

there are some ppl that can come over and do it on the car
which is easy and could be a tad more expensive
than taking it to a shop
and having them do the same thing

if the discs are too thin he will need to replace them

if the discs have never been changed on the car since he has had it he may as well buy some new DBA standard rotors. they are cheap and good quality. depending on mechanics to machine it could cost $80 or $180 to machine.

i know its rediculous. it also can be pick up which is a build up of pad material in a spot that can cause the shudder. ask him if the pedal pulsates and if so new discs is the way to go.

agreed, if it shakes he should also feel the peddle pules as well, i had the same problem when i first got my EB, i changed them new everything.

i whent one step more i had the rotors replaced all reound same with pads and stub axles and ball joints bearings, reason i did that as the cars history was not known to me so safe bet was to do the lot

if the disks are warped bad enough he could have cracks in them and if they break he will have no breaks they will lock up on his if he is going fast enough and put him out of shape hit other cars in the prosess who knows.

yeah and even if you get some DBA rotors from autobarn or supercheap will be fine instead of getting them from a mechanic. he would be looking at around 2-300 bucks for all 4. put them on himself with a hand and take it for a spin and if it doesnt pulse or vibrate then your sweet :) its better than hospital bills :)

oh yeah bed them in first before you give them a big hit. but use old pads to bed rotors in :)

if you spread the costs out you wont notice the burning pocket as much :)
