Hey everyone. Just got a problem with my brakes. Now they work to slow the car down but when I'm stopped with my foot on the brakes and put a bit off acceleration the car starts to move. When I had my EA and did the same thing for a quicker launch the EA would sit still but the revs would go up. The EL however still moves and my brakes start to make a noise...like the pads aren't holding the disks right and are slipping....is this a sign for a brake disk change? Also supposedly according to some people who have driven my car, the brakes don't seem to respond properly.
cheers phong =P~

Maybe your hoses are stuffed and its time for braided lines.
To check your front disks the minimum thickness is 22mm I think from memory. Take off the calipers and check everything thoroughly. Dont want have issues with braking, trust me. f your not comfortable to get it sorted yourself please see a professional. |

How much are braided lines? i know someone is selling them on here but can't remember who and for how much. cheers timmeh phong =P~

id say the pads are worn and the rotors are shot.
you'd need at least new pads to bring them back to the rotor

Braided line are about $200-$250 for a full set.
Dont forget when changing rotors to get new wheel bearings as well. |

if your car can't hold a bit of acceleration, I would be pretty worried about my stopping ability. If your low on cash, just get the pads done for now and see if it will improve, then save your money and get em fixed properly quick fast!! I don't wan't you losing your brakes on drag day.

im probably going to get the rotors and brake pads done next week before the drags. Who supplies slotted rotors for a reasonable price and pads that i can get within a couple of days?
