Hey Crew
Just chasing some quick opinions in regards to a recent development of brake noise. When braking i can hear the brakes actually clamping and its a really annoying noise that I want to stop! also when braking and taking a corner i can hear a loud clunk! any ideas? they are brand new pads and rotors on all fours! Cheers

As above.. and.. It might be just some dust or.. the brand of the brake pad. Some are so noisy.
Good luck, mate. |

I get the same thing on the EL.
I think it may be the brand of Pad. I'm using Bendix Pads and yes it is noticible while braking and cornering simultaneously. Straight line braking is generally pretty quiet. NO IDEA....! |

Done.
Ended up being the Caliper Slide Pins. Were bone dry. Disassembled, cleaned thoroughly and greased with Sta-Lube Synthetic Brake Caliper Grease. Problem solved. Brakes are whisper quiet now. Some advise. Do NOT use that rubber grease which some people recommend. Its not for this type of thing as PBR themselves advised against. They recommended either Sta-Lube or Valplex by Valvoline as used by their own people. |
