Attachment: Ok this is for the smart ppl eldest now has a car ,,when we got it it had a minor accident of a wallaby which damaged the front bar an put ding in door.l replaced the front rotars with good ones new pads as they were worn both rotors an pads on front did rears as well, now the car travelled from where it was to here Now there is a issue with something with the front left braking system,,, the rotars are good just fitted a second brand new set of pads this time bendix as the 1st lot were leaving s**t all over the place .. Now when the brakes were 1st done an everything the car would make like a sorta grinding noise from the front left when cold and doing trips around town but on long distances not a sound till doing the stopping starting s**t to where they were used more an were sorta cooling down . Now pads were replaced again rotars checked for warpage which there aint any as they new rotars . l cleaned them and everything and its doing it again....Daughter took car to mechs an it wouldnt do it or he didn't hear it as stereo was on . lt did it again soon as she left, wondering if there might be a issue with the caliper as the wallaby was hit on the left side of the car .. l greased everything like l should but its got me beat as the car wasnt driven really when it was brought here till l started to do the roady stuff like brkes an fix a couple of things for rego .. Car was also looked at by daughters boyfriends mate who is allegedly a mech who said ooh the calipers were way to tight on the bots an he loosend them up on both sides an yesterday when l did the new pads found the ahole left the bloody wheel nuts loose on the bloody car Its my daughters car its only been on road 6 weeks an she has only had her p plate for 7 weeks and she loves this car with all lve done to it with suttle mods to it and stuff

When you greased the caliper, did you strip it down and clean all the parts? The slides pins need to be free of corrosion and greased with something like Bendix brake grease (which is a lighter grease than HTB grease). Also, does the caliper piston slide easily? If these don't move freely, your brake pads will lock onto the rotor. A lot of people don't clean and grease the metal surfaces that the pads slide on too.
