I recently replaced my falcon pads with some Ferodo zero pads as there was some squeaking coming from the rears, turns out it was the little spring like things on the pads bouncing around. So I changed them, no more sound, sweeet. Now the sound has come back, really annoying.
Also I am getting the squeal from the front brakes when a brake, this is also annoying as I am after some quiet brakes. My braking style is sometimes hard sometime soft. Any advice on how to deal with these problems would be appreciated. |

hey mate
i work at a car dealer and we get this problem all the time expensive fix is machine the rotors if they have a lip from wear the brake dust doesn't escape freely. or a cheaper way is you can buy a bottle of brake De-squeak at conventry's or repco and what u do is rub it into you brake pads and it stops the squeaking(either blue or orange in colour). I'm not to sure how the stuff works but either it works like a charm or just complete waist of time. or u could just start off with blasting the pads, and rotors with air to remove the brake dust that causing the squeaks

Brake dust contains fibres, and when airborne you can not help but breathe them in and they then embed on your lungs. Which is not a real good thing. best way to clean is with a damp cloth. |
